Affiliate Product Vault ("the extension") is a Chrome extension for saving products you are considering recommending. This policy explains what it stores, where, and what leaves your device.

What the extension stores

All of the following is stored only in your browser, on your device, using Chrome's extension storage and IndexedDB:

• Products you save: title, page address, image address, price as shown on the page and the date you saw it, rating, brand, category, your notes, tags, status, collection, campaign, custom fields, and any affiliate link you paste.
• Collections and saved filters you create.
• Settings: theme, defaults, whether to show product images, and custom field names.
• Licence status: if you activate Pro, your licence key, the purchase email address and purchase date returned by Gumroad, and when the licence was last checked.

We (the publisher) have no server for this extension and cannot see any of this data.

When the extension reads a web page

Only when you click the extension's toolbar icon, and only the tab you are looking at. It reads the product details that page publishes about itself (structured data such as schema.org and Open Graph tags, and the page title) and shows them to you. Nothing is saved until you press Save. The extension does not read pages in the background, track your browsing, or record your history.

What leaves your device

1. Licence checks. When you activate Pro, and after that at most once every 14 days when you open the extension, it sends your licence key and the product's ID to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com) to confirm the purchase. Gumroad's reply includes the purchase email and status. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to that request.
2. Product images. While "Show product images" is on (Settings), thumbnails load directly from the image address the shop published, so that shop's server receives a normal image request from your browser. No referring page is sent. Turn the setting off to avoid these requests.
3. Files you export. CSV and backup files are created in your browser and saved to your downloads folder. Where they go after that is up to you.

Nothing else is transmitted. The extension contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or crash-reporting code.

Affiliate links

The extension never creates, adds, modifies or injects affiliate links, codes or cookies on any website. Affiliate links in the Vault are only those you paste yourself, and they are stored locally.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising, creditworthiness or any purpose other than the extension's function.

Your control

• Edit or delete any product at any time in the Vault.
• Delete everything: Settings → Your data → Delete all data.
• Remove your licence key: Settings → Licence → Remove from this browser.
• Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data from this browser.
• Export your data at any time as CSV (free) or a full backup (Pro).

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly process their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted in the extension's release notes.
